The Challenge

Just speaking at home, or doing private lessons could be very isolating for your child. Children need to find a group to belong, connect, thrive, progress and apply. Hindi needs to be relevant to them. Not forced, but enjoyed. For the last four years, we are very thankful to the parents for trusting us to teach their children.  Our classes focus on Hindi, with storytelling and yoga. We encourage learning in the class group. Children feel community, competitive, and enjoy interacting with one other. We help them to speak up. Not just understand, but also reply in Hindi. Yes, it's a dream for many city parents and we help you make it happen.

If your child speaks some to no Hindi, our unique teaching method will get them to speak more, faster, and come to love the language. And the world it opens up. They will know so much about India. Scroll below to find out more.

Physical Classroom lessons are limited learning for the children. We always have to teach to the newest child. Especially since we have only a few years when our children have the window to learn, we want them to progress fast. We have been teaching over 60 children online for over 3 terms now. And the best thing is when they progress we can move them up to a higher level immediately.

Choose what you want from this; the proof of the pudding is in the eating, as they say; barely one term into the lessons with Geeta, a family holiday to India revealed just how much the boys had learned and absorbed in their time in their lessons! The magic of India worked its magic for sure - little snippets of conversation were understood: "Darwaza kholo." "AC halka karo." "khana kha lo!" Even more amazing was the immediate recognition of Indian vowels and consonants - landing at Mumbai Airport my 11-year old pointed out the "m" and the "un" "u" "b" and "i" in the word मुंबई (Mumbai).

A trip down to Colaba had my boys echoing words they heard which were suddenly not as alien - thanks to the constant repetition of the Indian alphabet in class... the words "rehne do- koi baat nahin" rolled off my 14-year old's tongue! Geeta has worked her magic!

The manner in which Geeta teaches the language infuses a sense of confidence in kids; even where words don't make sense, my boys were able to grasp some parts of the word - due to the emphasis put on phonetic learning in class.

Getting kids to make small sentences and understand keywords meant that Hindi suddenly wasn't one garbled language - it was made up of many smaller recognizable parts and words - which meant the boys didn't switch off when someone rattled off in Hindi; instead I could see recognition in their eyes - of the keywords and satisfaction that they too, were part of the Indian culture and crowd.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you conduct physical classes or are they all online?

We conduct all our weekly classes online, for children aged 3 to 15, and have found it very effective and conducive to their learning. We've been conducting online classes for a while now and our tutors know how to make the most out of the medium, while still ensuring students get the one-on-one attention they need. We do host a number of meet-ups and cultural events in and around London, details of which can be found on our website and through our mailing list.

Are there classes for different levels of ability?

We conduct group classes for younger children (age 3-5) as the social environment helps build up their confidence and increase their comfort level while speaking Hindi more often.

For older children who speak Hindi already, our tutor will evaluate them accordingly and place them in the appropriate level class that meets their needs and proficiency.

We speak English and my child knows little or no Hindi. How can you help us?

We see that all the time as most children who come to us speak little or no Hindi.  We specialise in teaching the bare basics of the language and starting their Hindi journey. We teach in English and gradually start introducing Hindi in increments and graduate to longer sentences and grammar.

Are your tutors DSB checked?

Yes, all our tutors are certified DSB (also called CRB) security and safety checked.

I don't want my child to learn just through a computer.

Screen time is when our children stare aimlessly. What we are doing is productive, education use of the screen. What it is meant for, to enrich and enlighten. Also to tap immediately into of group of people who think like you, and are on the same journey. Also, we don't use just a software, where the child has little or no interaction in the language he/she is learning. Instead, we create a live classroom environment where the child can see all the other children and the teacher and vice versa. This ensures people in different places can come together and learn.  Our tutors are specially trained to make the most out of these teachings through virtual lessons.

Do you also conduct private lessons?

Yes we do offer private lessons but we tend not to encourage it apart from specific cases. In our experience, group environments tend to be far more beneficial and valuable in learning a new language. It also makes it a far more enjoyable experience and gives them fellow students to practice with.
